The first couple of pictures are of a campsite outside Eldoret. It's made almost entirely of wooden posts, old burlap sacs and plastic sheeting. Unsurprisingly it was made by two Indian guys who smoke alot of pot. I defy anyone to hold a coherent conversation there that lasts more than 30 sec. I think this was the same day I got to witness some guy being hogtied by a group of people in the middle of a border crossing. No idea why, but it was interesting none the less. Almost as amusing as the border guard who demanded from Andy, a Scot, what was so great about Great Britain. This was followed by a tirade about the Falkland Islands. Every now and then I understand why people put a Canadian flag on their backpacks. Still hate them though.

The rest are from parks around Kenya. The first is one you can walk around, as it has no predators. They claim Out of Africa was filmed there, and parts of the new Tomb Raider movie. The next are from a giraffe sanctuary just outside Nairobi, thus the hand feeding. The elephants are from a center for orphaned animals. The cuteness of the animals was somewhat tarnished by the shrill, obnoxious docent who knew less about the animals then I did, and insisted on anthropomorphizing them at every chance. The center did a decent job on educating against killing animals, but just fueled my desire to kill humans.

And of course, a dung beetle.

Nairobi has a population of about 2 or 3 million, and my first time around I was only there for a couple of days; yet the second time around I still couldn't avoid running into people I really had rather not have. My first day there I told one overly aggressive guy trying to get me to come to his shop that I didn't have any money but that I'd come the next day. 3 weeks later, having cut the cast off my arm, got a good start on growing my beard and shaved my head, I'm getting into a taxi about 2 or 3 km from where I ran into him the first time and the guy from the shop demands to know why I didn't come the next day. Apparently I'm one recognizable pasty Canadian.
