Panama We decided to spend some money and stay in a nice hotel in Panama, being our honeymoon and all. From the airport we had the cab driver take us to a nice hotel we'd seen a brochure for. When Susan went to the front desk she was told there wasn't any room for us. When she asked if there was anywhere around they could suggest, she was told that there were only nice hotels in the area and that we would be more comfortable in a different part of the city. I found it funny that we were turned away from the hotel because of our appearance, I guess a few weeks of roughing it does a number on your wardrobe. I felt like julia roberts in pretty women, except for the having sex with strangers for money bit. The cab driver said he knew a hotel nearby that was just as nice and we would take us there no charge. To call it a crack den would be putting a positive spin on it. Eventually we ended up finding a nice hotel, and my winnings at the attached casino paid for most of it. Also made a few animated gifs from a series of stills taken at the canal.
